Our Son

It was the most horrible and frightening night of our lives, when we got a phone call to let us know that our son Andrew got hit by a truck while he was walking. We rushed to the scene, when we saw him laying on the street helplessly surrounded by his friends, police and paramedics, our hearts almost stopped. There was nothing we could do to help him but to pray. He was taken by helicopter to USC Trauma Center... He remained their for six days, they were the longest and saddest days of our lives!!!

On May 3rd, 2007 just a few days before his 20th birthday, our Lord Jesus “Glory to His name” called Andrew to be with Him and wanted to stop his weak body from suffering..... It was the most difficult and unbelievable day. We never thought that one day we were going to experience such a terrible and horrific nightmare. Nothing is more painful than losing a loved one especially a SON!!!! Our hearts and minds could not bear this tragedy if it was not for God’s hand that eased our pain. So when tragedy hit our home , we knew deep in our hearts that our Lord would never abandon us but always be on our side . Also when He made His presence to David in the hospital, as I explained it in the page “Andrew’s Case”, that was another way that he sent peace to our hearts knowing that our son is in a better place!!!! We give our thanks to Him for all the strength, patience and wisdom that He blessed us with until now, and we have faith that He will continue to do so.And we have strong faith that one day we are going to meet our son again in Heaven!!!

Finally, we would like to extend our thanks to all the people that came to the hospital and our home. Celebrated the funeral Mass, came to the burial site and had the mercy meal with us. We also thank all the people that called from all over the states and other parts of the world, sent cards, e-mailed,wrote a special poem and dedicated a mass in Andrew's honor. We also are thankful to those who donated money to the "Andrew Ennabe Foundation". We greatly appreciated every prayer and gesture, small or big, which gives us so much comfort...

May God Bless you All
